Target Information

GBE1은 글리코겐 가지 효소로, 글리코겐 사슬의 α-1,4 결합된 글루코실 단위를 α-1,6 위치로 옮겨 글리코겐 분자의 가지를 형성합니다. 이러한 가지 형성은 글리코겐의 용해도를 높이고 세포 내 삼투압을 감소시키는 데 필수적입니다. GBE1 효소는 간과 근육에서 가장 높은 수준으로 발현되며, 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 글리코겐 저장병 IV형(Andersen’s disease)과 관련이 있습니다.
