Target Information

Duvortuxizumab is a biosimilar that targets CD19.
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains and is expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells (kappa or lambda light chains).
It is also found on myeloid leukemia cells, particularly of monocytic lineage.
CD19 functions as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR) and can signal independently of BCR co-ligation.
It plays a central regulatory role in B cell proliferation and differentiation.
Mutation of CD19 results in hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
