HIPK4 (Homeodomain-interacting protein kinase 4)는 p53을 인산화하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
HIPK4는 homeodomain interacting protein kinase (HIPK) 계열의 단백질을 암호화하며, 이 계열의 다른 구성원은 척추동물 전반에 걸쳐 존재하지만 HIPK4는 포유류에만 존재합니다.
이 단백질은 핵 내 이동 신호(nuclear localization signal)와 C-말단 자가 억제 도메인이 결여되어 있으며, 키나아제 활성을 가지며 종양 억제 단백질 p53을 인산화할 수 있습니다.
