Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The GCH1 gene encodes a member of the GTP cyclohydrolase family. This enzyme catalyzes the conversion of GTP into 7,8-dihydroneopterin triphosphate, the first and rate-limiting step in tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4) biosynthesis.
BH4 is an essential cofactor for aromatic amino acid hydroxylases and nitric oxide synthases.
Mutations in this gene are linked to malignant hyperphenylalaninemia and dopa-responsive dystonia. Several splice variants exist, not all of which produce functional enzymes.
