This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, chicken, porcine, rat, and Xenopus based on sequence homology.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the neurotrophin family, which controls survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. It is closely related to nerve growth factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor. NTF3 may be involved in maintenance of the adult nervous system and neuronal development during embryogenesis. NTF3-deficient mice show severe limb movement defects. The mature peptide is identical across mammals including human, pig, rat, and mouse.
