The Human TIM-3 Simplex ProcartaPlex™ Kit measures TIM-3 protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits, allowing creation of custom multiplex panels utilizing Luminex™ xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation.
When combining multiple Simplex kits (not using a pre-configured Multiplex Panel), only one buffer kit (sold separately) is needed per assay plate regardless of plex size.

ProcartaPlex Assay 소개

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on sandwich ELISA principles, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein for simultaneous quantitation of all protein targets via Luminex instruments.
These assays require as little as 25 μL of plasma or serum, or 50 μL of cell culture supernatant, and yield analyzed results in approximately four hours.

기술적 배경

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single sample.
Luminex beads are internally dyed with red and infrared fluorophores, creating unique spectral signatures identifiable by Luminex detection systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Matched antibody pairs identify target proteins, with biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE) providing quantifiable fluorescence proportional to protein concentration.
Unlike traditional ELISA, capture antibodies are conjugated to beads, enabling free-floating reaction components and efficient multiplexing.

ProcartaPlex multiplex panels are available for six species: human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, and canine.
