Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Oxygen sensing is essential for homeostasis in all aerobic organisms. A phagocyte-type oxidase similar to that responsible for reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation in neutrophils is thought to act in the kidney as an oxygen sensor regulating erythropoietin synthesis.
NOX4 functions as a redox messenger in intracellular signaling pathways contributing to mitochondriogenesis, cell survival, and differentiation in hematopoietic stem cells.
Research suggests that NOX4 links the insulin receptor to cellular ROS generation, enhancing insulin signal transduction.
