• Specificity Comments:
  LSP1 is a hematopoietic-expressed gene encoding an F-actin-binding, leukocyte-specific phosphoprotein found in B/T lymphocytes, granulocytes, and macrophages.
  Non-lymphoid cells (myocytes, stromal cells, fibroblasts) also express mRNA splice variants, suggesting pp52 has a divergent role in signal transduction.
  The pp52 (LSP1) locus maps to chromosome 11p15.5, associated with tumor-related translocations in chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
  The pp52 promoter includes Ets, SP1, and C/EBP motifs controlling transcriptional activity.
  LSP1 binds the cytoskeleton and influences cytoskeletal remodeling, cell motility, and chemotaxis in leukocytes.

Target Information

This gene encodes an intracellular F-actin binding protein expressed in lymphocytes, neutrophils, macrophages, and endothelium.
It regulates neutrophil motility, adhesion to fibrinogen matrix proteins, and transendothelial migration.
