Target Information
DYKDDDDK tag, also known as FLAG tag, is a short peptide sequence used as a protein tag to facilitate purification, detection, and localization.
The tag consists of eight amino acids (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) and is typically fused to the N- or C-terminus of a protein of interest.
This allows easy identification and isolation using anti-FLAG antibodies. The FLAG tag is widely used in molecular biology and biochemistry research for applications such as protein-protein interaction studies, expression analysis, and localization studies.
The FLAG tag is designed to be hydrophilic, minimizing interference with protein folding or activity.
