Target Information
PPIL1 belongs to the cyclophilin family of peptidylprolyl isomerases (PPIases). These enzymes are conserved and ubiquitous, playing critical roles in protein folding, immunosuppression by cyclosporin A, and HIV-1 infection. Based on homology, PPIL1 may accelerate protein folding and catalyze cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides.
