Target Information
MAPK14 (p38 alpha)는 스트레스 활성화 단백질 키나아제(MAPK) 계열의 일원으로, 세포 스트레스, 염증 및 다양한 신호에 대한 반응을 조절합니다. 비인산화 상태에서는 비활성화되어 있으며, Thr-Gly-Tyr 모티프의 이중 인산화에 의해 활성화됩니다.
p38 MAPK는 조직별 발현 및 활성 조절 인자에 따라 4가지 isoform을 가지며, TNF, IL-1, heat shock 등의 자극에 의해 MAPK kinase-3/6에 의해 Thr180과 Tyr182 잔기가 인산화되어 활성화됩니다. 활성화된 p38 MAPK는 ATF-2, CHOP-1, MEF-2 등 다양한 전사 인자를 인산화하여 세포 반응을 매개합니다.
