Target Information
Sall4 단백질은 인간 20번 염색체에 위치한 Sall4 유전자에 의해 암호화되며, Spalt-like 단백질 패밀리에 속합니다.
줄기세포 유지에 중요한 역할을 하며, Oct4, Sox2와 상호작용하고, Nanog와 복합체를 형성하여 배아줄기세포(ESC)의 다능성 유지에 관여합니다.
현재 연구에서는 암유전자 및 종양 바이오마커로서의 기능이 주목받고 있으며, p53, Bmi-1, Bcl2, XIAP 등의 표적 유전자와 관련이 보고되었습니다.
