Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the TRIM protein family. It contains multiple zinc finger motifs and a leucine zipper motif. It is proposed to form homo- or heterodimers involved in nucleic acid binding, acting as a transcriptional regulatory factor associated with carcinogenesis and differentiation. It may also contribute to suppression of radiosensitivity, being linked to the ataxia telangiectasia phenotype.
