Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below.

- This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.

In ELISA and other immunoreactive assays, this antibody recognizes both native and recombinant rat IL17-A in cell supernatants and certain body fluids.
A control of similarly diluted normal rabbit IgG is recommended.
Target Information
Interleukin-17A (IL-17A, CTLA-8) is a CD4+ T cell-derived cytokine that promotes inflammatory responses and is elevated in rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, and transplant rejection.
IL-17A is a 32 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer of 136 amino acids, belonging to the IL-17 family (IL-17A–F), signaling through the IL-17R/CDw217 receptor.
It enhances ICAM-1 expression in human fibroblasts and stimulates epithelial, endothelial, and fibroblastic cells to secrete IL-6, IL-8, G-CSF, and PGE2.
IL-17A regulates NF-kappa B and MAPK activities, stimulates IL-6 and COX-2 expression, and promotes nitric oxide (NO) production.
