Product Specific Information

This 1RNM44N monoclonal antibody recognizes mouse CD170 (Siglec F), a cell surface lectin of the Ig superfamily binding sialic acid–containing glycoconjugates.
Siglec F is mainly expressed on eosinophils and alveolar macrophages, with lower levels on immature myelomonocytic cells. Mouse Siglec F is a functional ortholog of human Siglec 8 but is not expressed on mast cells.

Target Information

SIGLEC5 is a putative adhesion molecule mediating sialic acid–dependent binding to cells. It binds α2,3-linked and α2,6-linked sialic acids and may be masked by cis interactions.
Expressed by monocytic/myeloid lineage cells, SIGLEC5 is found at high levels in peripheral blood leukocytes, spleen, and bone marrow, and at lower levels in lymph node, lung, and thymus. It is expressed by monocytes and neutrophils but absent in early leukemic cell lines.
