Target Information
Procollagen type I N-terminal propeptide (P1NP)는 뼈 형성의 특이적 지표로, 뼈 기질의 주요 성분인 type I collagen의 합성을 반영합니다. P1NP는 procollagen이 collagen으로 전환될 때 유래하며, 골형성 과정에서 osteoblast에 의해 생성됩니다. 임상적으로는 골다공증 등 대사성 골질환의 진단 및 모니터링에 활용됩니다.
P1NP 수치는 teriparatide 및 romosozumab과 같은 치료에 대한 골밀도(BMD) 반응을 예측할 수 있으며, 낮은 혈청 P1NP 수치는 골밀도 감소 위험이 높은 상태를 나타냅니다. 이는 전신홍반루푸스(SLE) 등 골 건강에 영향을 미치는 질환을 가진 여성의 연구에도 유용합니다.
