This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to prevent contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems use cloned antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, allowing selection of optimal clones for production.

Target Information
Galectin-3 is a galactose-specific lectin that binds IgE. It may mediate endothelial cell migration via interaction with alpha-3, beta-1 integrin and CSPG4. Together with DMBT1, it is essential for terminal differentiation of columnar epithelial cells during early embryogenesis.
In the nucleus, Galectin-3 functions as a pre-mRNA splicing factor. It is also involved in acute inflammatory responses, including neutrophil activation and adhesion, monocyte/macrophage chemoattraction, opsonization of apoptotic neutrophils, and mast cell activation.
