CIRBP (Cold-Inducible RNA-Binding Protein)는 세포 생존 관련 유전자 전사체를 안정화시켜 유전 독성 스트레스 반응에서 보호 역할을 하는 단백질입니다. 번역 활성화 인자로 작용하며, 저온에 의한 세포 증식 억제 과정에서 중요한 역할을 합니다. RPA2 및 TXN과 같은 스트레스 반응 전사체의 3'-UTR 부위에 특이적으로 결합하며, 과발현 시 스트레스 과립(stress granules, SGs) 형성을 촉진하고 번역 억제자로 작용합니다.
