Target Information
ARPC1A is one of seven subunits of the human Arp2/3 protein complex. This subunit belongs to the SOP2 family and is most similar to ARPC1B. Both may function as the p41 subunit of the Arp2/3 complex, which regulates actin polymerization. The p41 subunit likely contributes to the assembly and maintenance of the complex structure, and multiple versions may adapt the complex to different cell types or developmental stages.
