Target Information
STAT5 alpha는 STAT 전사인자 패밀리에 속하며, 사이토카인 및 성장인자 자극에 의해 인산화되어 핵으로 이동 후 전사 활성화 인자로 작용합니다. IL2, IL3, IL7, GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin 등 다양한 리간드에 의해 활성화됩니다.
TEL/JAK2 유전자 융합에 의해 유도되는 STAT5 alpha 활성은 종양 형성에 필수적이며, 항세포사멸 단백질 BCL2L1/BCL-X(L) 발현을 유도하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
STAT5 alpha와 STAT5 beta는 높은 서열 유사성을 가지며, 대부분 조직에서 함께 발현됩니다. STAT5 alpha는 생식, 수유, 면역 기능 및 생장 조절 등 다양한 생리적 기능에 관여합니다.
