This antibody is a monoclonal mixture of FITC-conjugated CD3 (clone M2AB, isotype IgG1) and PE-conjugated CD4 (clone 7E14, isotype IgG1).

Target Information

The CD3 complex is crucial in transducing antigen-recognition signals into the cytoplasm of T cells and regulating TCR complex expression. CD3 subunits (gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta) are members of the immunoglobulin superfamily encoded on human chromosome 11. They associate with cytoplasmic signal transduction molecules through a double tyrosine-based motif.
CD3 is expressed on 68–82% of peripheral blood lymphocytes, 65–85% of thymocytes, and Purkinje cells, but not on B or NK cells.
CD4 antigen recognizes MHC class II and serves as a receptor for HIV. It is expressed on T helper cells and thymocytes, associated with p56lck tyrosine kinase, and found in lymph nodes and tonsils.
CD44, also known as Phagocytic Glycoprotein-1 (pgp-1) or HCAM, is a type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein and receptor for hyaluronate. It exists in multiple isoforms and mediates adhesion between leukocytes, endothelial cells, and the extracellular matrix.
