Target Information
HPRT1 is a transferase enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of hypoxanthine to inosine monophosphate and guanine to guanosine monophosphate by transferring the 5-phosphoribosyl group from 5-phosphoribosyl 1-pyrophosphate. It plays a central role in purine nucleotide generation through the purine salvage pathway.
