Target Information
Adenylate Kinase 9 is involved in maintaining the homeostasis of cellular nucleotides by catalyzing the interconversion of nucleoside phosphates.
It has both nucleoside monophosphate and diphosphate kinase activities and catalyzes phosphorylation of AMP, dAMP, CMP, and dCMP using ATP as a phosphate donor, as well as CMP with GTP as a donor.
The enzyme also catalyzes production of ATP, CTP, GTP, UTP, dATP, dCTP, dGTP, and TTP from their corresponding diphosphate substrates, showing substrate preference of CDP > UDP > ADP > GDP > TDP.
