RASSF5 유전자는 Ras association domain family에 속하며, 종양 억제 기능을 수행합니다. 다양한 암에서 불활성화되며, centrosome과 microtubule에 위치합니다. Ras, Rap1 및 기타 Ras-like GTPase의 활성형과 결합하여 림프구 부착을 조절하고, 활성화된 Rap1 또는 Ras에 의해 유도되는 세포 성장을 억제합니다. 여러 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있습니다.
