Target Information
NEIL2는 산화 또는 돌연변이 유발 물질에 의해 손상된 DNA의 염기 절제 복구(Base Excision Repair)에 관여합니다.
5-hydroxyuracil 및 산화된 cytosine 유도체에 대한 DNA glycosylase 활성을 가지며, mismatched double-stranded DNA(DNA bubbles)에 선호성을 보입니다.
Thymine glycol, 2-hydroxyadenine, hypoxanthine, 8-oxoguanine에 대해서는 낮거나 거의 활성이 없습니다.
AP (apurinic/apyrimidinic) lyase 활성을 가지며 DNA 절단을 유도하여 제거된 염기 부위에 단일 가닥 절단을 생성합니다.
