Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid; dilute only prior to immediate use.
Fructosyl-amino acid oxidase antibody is purified from monospecific antiserum through delipidation, salt fractionation, and ion-exchange chromatography, followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer described above. Immunoelectrophoresis shows a single precipitin arc against anti-Peroxidase, anti-Sheep Serum, and purified Fructosyl-Amino Acid Oxidase (E. coli). Cross-reactivity with other sources is unknown.
Target Information
Fructosyl amino acid oxidase is a flavoprotein that catalyzes the oxidation of fructosyl amino acids to form glucosone, amino acid, and hydrogen peroxide. Anti-Fructosyl-amino acid oxidase antibody is useful for researchers studying diabetes and related metabolic pathways.
