Target Information
This gene encodes a protein containing nine WD repeats. WD repeats are approximately 30–40 amino acid domains containing conserved residues, typically including a tryptophan-aspartic acid (WD) motif at the C-terminal end. These domains are involved in protein–protein interactions. The encoded WDR1 protein may facilitate actin filament disassembly. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
