Target Information

KLF15은 Sp1 C2H2-type zinc-finger 단백질 패밀리에 속하는 핵 단백질로, 세 개의 C2H2-type zinc finger를 포함합니다. 전사 활성화 인자로서 CLCNKA 프로모터의 GA 엘리먼트에 결합하여 CLCNKA 및 CLCNKB 채널 유전자의 조직 및 네프론 세그먼트 특이적 발현을 조절할 수 있습니다.
또한 PPARG 발현 조절을 통해 지방세포 분화(adipogenesis)에 중요한 역할을 하며, 심근비대 억제 인자로 보고되었습니다. KLF15은 심혈관계 스트레스 반응 조절, 골격근의 미토콘드리아 acetyl-CoA synthase 발현 조절에도 관여합니다.
망막에서는 rhodopsin 및 IRBP 프로모터의 전사 억제 인자로 작용할 수 있으며, 비광수용세포에서 광수용체 특이 유전자 발현 억제에 참여할 가능성이 있습니다. 간에서 가장 높게 발현되며, 심장, 골격근, 신장에서 발현되고, 골수나 림프조직에서는 발현되지 않습니다.
