Reaction Conditions

Product Information

• Source: E. coli carrying a plasmid encoding the DdeI gene
• Substrate for unit definition: lambda DNA
• Star activity: Digestion at unrelated sites may occur in the presence of high concentrations of glycerol, Mn²⁺, or DMSO.
• Inactivation: Fully inactivated by incubation at 70°C for 15 min. Alternatively, may be inactivated by ethanol precipitation, phenol treatment, or by adding 1/10 volume of 10X Loading Buffer (supplied) prior to loading directly on an agarose gel for analysis.
• Storage of 10X Loading Buffer: Store at room temperature. SDS may precipitate during storage; if precipitates are present, dissolve by brief incubation at 37°C before use.
• Quality Testing: Each lot undergoes stringent quality testing including overdigestion, genome DNA analysis, ligation-recutting, and pKF3 cloning.
