For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

TAK1 (MAP3K7) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in multiple signaling pathways. Initially identified as a TGF-β-activated kinase, TAK1 interacts with TGF-β receptor and TRAF6 to regulate activation of JNK and p38. It also contributes to Wnt, BMP, activin, thyroid hormone, osmotic stress, and endothelin signaling. TAK1 promotes proper wound healing by activating von Hippel-Lindau tumor suppressor and repressing PDGF-B and integrins β1/β5. Furthermore, TAK1 is essential for IKK activation in IL-1, IL-6, IL-18, TNF, CD40, TLR, and RIG-I signaling pathways. Activation involves TAB2/3 binding and polyubiquitination, TAK1 autophosphorylation (Thr178, Thr184, Thr187, Ser192), and subsequent IKK-β phosphorylation. TAK1 also represses human telomerase reverse transcriptase, indicating a role in cell lifespan regulation.
