Target Information
The MTA1 gene encodes a protein identified in screens for genes expressed in metastatic mammary adenocarcinoma cell lines. Its expression correlates with metastatic potential in several carcinomas, though it is also found in many normal tissues. MTA1 is associated with chromatin remodeling and transcriptional regulation, potentially through involvement in nucleosome remodeling complexes.
