Target Information
PCCA 단백질은 홀수 사슬 지방산, isoleucine, threonine, methionine, valine의 분해 경로에서 핵심 효소 역할을 합니다.
이 단백질은 미토콘드리아 기질에 존재하며, 6개의 biotin 함유 α-서브유닛과 6개의 β-서브유닛으로 구성된 dodecamer 형태로 추정됩니다.
PCCA 결함은 Propionic Acidemia Type I (PA-1)을 유발하며, 이는 구토, 무기력, 케토시스, 호중구감소증, 혈소판감소증, 저감마글로불린혈증, 발달 지연, 단백질 불내성 등의 증상을 보이는 치명적 질환입니다.
