이 단백질은 snoRNP 생합성과 pre-mRNA 스플라이싱을 연결하는 인트론 결합 스플라이소솜 단백질로서 작용하며 (PubMed:16949364), snoRNA 서열의 접힘을 돕는 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
인트론 내 snoRNA와 branchpoint 사이의 영역(약 40 nt upstream)을 인식하며, ATP 의존적 RNA 헬리케이스 활성을 가지고 3' 오버행을 가진 dsRNA를 풀 수 있습니다 (PubMed:25599396).
