Target Information
BAMBI (BMP and activin membrane-bound inhibitor homolog, NMA)는 TGF-beta 신호를 억제하는 막관통 당단백질로, 발달 과정에서 음성 조절자로 작용합니다.
BAMBI의 전사는 β-catenin, BMP, Smad3, Smad4에 의해 조절되며, 대장암 및 간세포암에서 비암성 조직보다 발현이 증가할 수 있습니다. 또한 치아형성 과정에서 높은 수준으로 발현되며, 초기 Xenopus 배아 발생 시 Bmp-4와 함께 발현됩니다. 일부 전이성이 낮은 인간 흑색종 세포주에서도 검출됩니다.
