Target Information
The SEC13 protein belongs to the SEC13 family of WD-repeat proteins. It is a component of the endoplasmic reticulum and the nuclear pore complex. It is homologous to yeast SEC13, which is essential for vesicle biogenesis from the endoplasmic reticulum during protein transport. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified.
