ERp72는 소포체 내강 단백질로, 스트레스 단백질이자 단백질 디설파이드 이성질화효소(PDI) 계열에 속합니다.
서열 분석 결과, ERp72는 PDI와 세 구간에서 서열 유사성을 가지며, C-말단에 ER 보유 신호인 KEEL을 포함합니다.
또한 CGHC 모티프를 포함하는 세 개의 활성 부위를 가지며, 이는 단백질 디설파이드 이성질화 과정에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
ERp72는 CGHC 함유 단백질 계열의 새로운 구성원으로서 분자 샤페론 기능을 수행하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
