GPR85는 SREB(Super-Conserved Receptor Expressed in Brain) 계열의 GPCR로, 아직 리간드가 알려지지 않은 Orphan-A GPCR입니다. SREB2의 rat homolog는 대뇌피질 발달에 관여하며, GPR85는 인간과 rat의 중추신경계 여러 부위 및 생식기관에서 발현되는 것으로 보고되었습니다. 또한 B-cell, 폐, 고환, 뇌, 배아 등의 라이브러리 및 다양한 mouse 조직 라이브러리에서 EST가 분리되었습니다.
