CTAGE5 (also known as MIA-2) is a secreted cytokine belonging to the MIA/OTOR family, which includes MIA, OTOR, and TANGO. These proteins share a Src homology-3 (SH3)-like domain. MIA-2 is predominantly expressed in hepatocytes, and elevated levels may serve as a clinically useful marker for hepatic disease activity and severity.
