Target Information
Rho GTPase activating protein 5 (ARHGAP5) negatively regulates RHO GTPases, which mediate cytoskeleton changes by stimulating the hydrolysis of bound GTP. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene. It functions as a GTPase-activating protein for Rho family members and may reduce the p21ras GTPase-activating potential of RASA1/p120GAP.
