Target Information
Adiponectin은 지방세포(adipocytes)에서만 분비되는 단백질 호르몬으로, 지질 및 포도당 대사를 조절합니다. 다양한 생리적 과정, 특히 항상성 및 비만과 관련된 대사 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 비만, 인슐린 저항성, 고인슐린혈증(제2형 당뇨병) 환자에서 Adiponectin 수치가 감소하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 마우스 연구에서는 Adiponectin이 AMP kinase 및 PPAR-alpha를 활성화하여 지방산 운반, 산화 및 소모를 증가시켜 근육 내 지방 축적을 줄이고 인슐린 신호 전달을 개선하는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
