Target Information
NRAS (GTPase NRas) is a membrane-associated protein that cycles between the Golgi apparatus and plasma membrane. This process is regulated by palmitoylation and depalmitoylation via the ZDHHC9-GOLGA7 complex.
NRAS possesses intrinsic GTPase activity, switching between active (GTP-bound) and inactive (GDP-bound) forms through interaction with regulatory proteins.
Mutations in NRAS are associated with juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML) and Noonan syndrome 6.
