Target Information
IFN alpha (Interferon alpha)는 Type I interferon으로, 척추동물에 특이적인 구조적 관련 단백질군에 속합니다. IFN-alpha가 수용체 구성요소와 결합하면 다양한 신호 경로가 활성화되어 바이러스 감염에 대한 선천 면역 반응을 유도합니다. 인간에서는 IFN alpha 유전자가 9번 염색체에 위치하며, Type I interferon은 14개의 alpha isoform과 단일 beta, omega, epsilon, kappa isoform으로 구성됩니다. 이러한 분자는 설치류, 조류, 파충류, 어류 등 다양한 종에서 발견됩니다. IFN alpha는 주로 형질세포성 수지상세포(plasmacytoid dendritic cell)에 의해 생성되며, 강력한 항바이러스 선천 면역 반응의 구성 요소로서 적응 면역을 조절합니다. IFN alpha 기능 이상은 Hepatitis C 및 Hepatitis와 관련이 있습니다.
