Target Information
BACE2는 amyloid precursor protein (APP)의 단백질 분해 처리에 관여합니다. APP를 690–691 잔기 사이에서 절단하여 beta-cleaved soluble APP를 생성하고, 세포 내 C-말단 절편을 형성합니다. 또한 671–672 잔기 사이에서도 절단이 가능하며, 췌장 베타세포에서 CLTRN 단백질의 절단에도 관여합니다 (PubMed:21907142).
