Target Information

MAP4K3 (GLK)는 STE20 계열의 serine/threonine protein kinase로, N-말단 촉매 도메인과 C-말단 조절 도메인을 포함합니다.
이 단백질은 MEKK1 상류에서 작용하며 UV 방사선과 TNF-α에 의해 자극되어 JNK 신호 경로를 활성화할 수 있습니다.
TCR 신호전달 중 PKC-θ를 직접 활성화하며, 루푸스 환자에서 MAP4K3의 발현 및 PKC-θ, IKK 활성 증가가 관찰됩니다.
MAP4K3는 PUMA, BAD, BIM의 후전사적 조절을 통해 BAX 활성화를 유도하는 친사멸성 키나제로 작용합니다.
이 단백질은 UV 및 TNF-α에 의해 활성화되며, c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) 경로를 특이적으로 활성화합니다.
MAP4K3는 이전에 RAB8-interacting protein-like 1 (RAB8IPL1)로 불렸으며, 현재 명칭은 mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 3 (MAP4K3)입니다.
