By adding β or γ cyclodextrin to the bonded Rtx-1701 stationary phase, overall column performance and lifetime are greatly improved for chiral separations.
Many chiral compounds have been successfully separated using Restek’s DEX series columns.

A carbon atom bonded to four different groups is considered chiral (asymmetric).
Molecules containing one or more chiral centers exist in two forms called enantiomers—non-superimposable mirror images with similar physical but distinct chemical and biochemical properties.
