Target Information

MUC1 (Mucin 1, Episialin, MAM-6, CA 15-3, PEM, EMA)는 대부분의 선상 및 관상 상피세포와 일부 조혈세포 계통에서 발현되는 대형 세포 표면 점액질 당단백질입니다.
MUC1은 막관통성 글리코프로테인으로, 다수의 O-결합 당사슬이 존재하며, 반복 서열의 수(30~90)에 따라 분자량이 다양합니다.
유방암 및 그 전이암의 90% 이상에서 과발현되며, EGFR을 포함한 모든 c-erbB 수용체와 결합하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
MUC1 유전자는 7개의 엑손을 가지며 여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 변이를 생성합니다. 과발현, 비정상적인 세포 내 위치 변화 및 당화 패턴의 변화는 여러 암종과 관련이 있습니다.
