Target Information
SR-5B는 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin) receptor 5B (5-HT5B) 또는 G protein-coupled receptor 134 (GPR134)로도 알려진 세로토닌 수용체입니다. 세로토닌은 중추신경계의 세로토닌성 뉴런과 위장관의 엔테로크로마핀 세포에서 유래하는 신경전달물질로, 우울증, 불안, 성욕, 식욕 등의 생화학적 조절에 관여합니다.
Rat SR-5B는 dorsal raphe (DR)와 central superior nucleus (CS, median raphe nucleus)의 세로토닌성 뉴런에서 발현되며, DR의 내측 부분에서 SR-5B mRNA 발현이 풍부하고 CS에서는 serotonin transporter mRNA와의 공발현이 높습니다.
