Target Information
VLK는 배아줄기세포가 mesendoderm으로 분화할 때 유도되는 새로운 단백질 키나아제로 확인되었습니다. 무척추동물에서는 상동체가 없지만 척추동물에서는 높은 보존성을 보이며, 알려진 단백질 키나아제 그룹에는 속하지 않습니다.
VLK는 초기에는 E-cadherin 양성의 전방 내배엽 및 중내배엽에서 발현되며, 이후 E-cadherin 음성 중간엽으로 발현이 제한됩니다. 골지체에 풍부하게 존재하며 단백질의 골지체로부터의 수출 속도를 조절하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
VLK의 유전자 제거는 생쥐에서 폐 발달 결함과 신생아 사망을 초래하며, VLK의 돌연변이는 알레르기 질환인 아토피와 관련이 있을 수 있다고 제안되었습니다.
