Target Information

Leucine-rich repeat FLI-I interacting protein 1 (LRRFIP1/FLAP-1) is a MyD88-interacting signal protein that mediates either induction or repression of TLR signaling.
Flap-1 directly interacts with β-catenin and activates β-catenin-dependent transcription activity. It also binds the TNF- -308 promoter polymorphism site, suggesting a possible role in regulation of TNF production.
FLAP-1, along with LRRFIP2 and FLIIH, helps coordinate inflammatory responses after infection and may act as a novel target in the control of agonist-induced TLR-mediated inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
