Target Information
ANKRD13A (also known as ANKRD13) is a 590-amino acid protein containing two ankyrin (ANK) repeats and four ubiquitin-interacting motif (UIM) repeats. It localizes to the cell membrane and functions as a ubiquitin-binding protein that specifically recognizes and binds Lys-63–linked ubiquitin, but not Lys-48–linked ubiquitin. ANKRD13A positively regulates the internalization of ligand-activated EGFR by binding to the ubiquitin moiety of ubiquitinated EGFR at the cell membrane.
